2.1.3 Datastructuur: Terratec

The "terratec" profile is specific for the Terratec company. The directory structure is a little bit different then how it is delivered on a harddrive.
But the metadata files such as the calibration and position file of the images, are expected in the same format.

Folder structure description:

  • Folders for "BW", "FW" and "NAD" have the same structure:
    • Calibration file known from terratec in .txt format, space delimeted
      • The first 4 lines contains the header, 
      • From line 5 is the content represented with the following columns: 
        1. CameraID 
        2. Rows(pix) 
        3. Cols(pix) 
        4. PixelSize(microns) 
        5. FocalLenght(mm) 
        6. PPAx(microns) 
        7. PPAy(microns) 
        8. K1 
        9. K2 
        10. K3 
        11. P1 
        12. P2 
        13. ImageID
      • Every row represent one image.
      • The column "ImageID" without filepath and file extension.
    • Absolute position and orientation file known in .txt format, delimited by space

      • The first 10 lines contains the header, 
      • From line 5 is the content represented with the following columns: 
        1. PhotoId  
        2. X  
        3. Y  
        4. Z  
        5. Omega 
        6. Phi  
        7. Kappa
      • Every row represent one image.

      • The column "PhotoId" without filepath and file extension.
      • Coördinatesystem: RD New + NAP Hoogte
      • Decimal notation with point.
    • Folder:tif

      • In this directory place all tif-files. It is important to place only .tif files in this map. Metadata of the tif-files can be placed in the directory Metadata.
        The count of files should correspond to the count of files in the positionAndOrientation.txt and the calibration.txt. 
      • Filename: Exactly as described in column "PhotoId" of the absolute orientation file txt-file. 
      • Every camera has its own tif-directory within FW, BW and NAD directory (See template directory structure).
  • Folder:Ortho
    • Folder:Ortho/ecw
      • In this directory place all ortho .ECW files. Only put ortho ECW-files in this directory. Metadata of the tif-files can be placed in the directory Metadata.
    • Folder:Ortho/tif

      • In this directory place all ortho .TIF files. Only place ortho tif-files in this directory. Metadata of the tif-files can be placed in the directory Metadata.

  • Folder:Metadata

    • datasets_metadata_terratec.json, in this file is summarized some specifications related to the data. Please check the example file in zip and fill this in.
    • Files related to the delivered data can be uploaded in this directory.
    • Folder:ImageFootprints
      • This directory should contain the shapefiles for the footprints of the images. Filenames as follows:
        • *_B_Footprints.shp (also accompanying .dbf, .prj, .shx)
        • *_F_Footprints.shp (also accompanying .dbf, .prj, .shx)
        • *_N_Footprints.shp (also accompanying .dbf, .prj, .shx)
  • Folder:Pointcloud

    • In this directory place all .LAZ files. Metadata of the laz-files can be placed in the directory Metadata.
      • LAZ-format
      • Color per point optional
      • Intensity per point obligatory
      • Absolute GPS tijd per point
